Permanent makeup is an artistic non-surgical treatment which infuses pigment into the dermal layer of the skin to replicate traditional makeup or imitate tiny hairs. Results that are immediate and long lasting.

PMU - uses a digital machine similar to (or the same as) a tattoo machine which is used to place coloured pigments on the skin. There is a large selection of needles so, like any art, there are many styles and ways to effectively place the colour in the skin. In recent years the selection of small needles has improved significantly which has enabled hair-stroke results previously not possible.
Disposable cartridge needles are used (a few systems use single acupuncture needles) to implant pharmaceutical-grade pigments in the skin to replicate ‘conventional’ makeup or create the illusion of hair.
Permanent makeup is also known as micro-pigmentation, semi-permanent makeup, permanent cosmetics, cosmetic tattooing, eyebrow tattoo, lip tattoo, eyeliner tattoo, digital permanent makeup, nanoneedle, and digital microblading; combination brows; hair stroke brows, are all associated with digital work.
MICROBLADING - uses a handheld instrument with a tiny, sterile, disposable needle. microneedles soldered together to create a small blade. Tiny channels are created superficially allowing pigments to be placed producing the appearance of hair strokes. Strokes are 1 dimensional and cannot be tapered.

Any person from 18 to 85. All skin colours and skin types can have treatment. Skin must be in good health and you have no contra indications, there are very few restrictions.
Simply, it can bring confidence to those who need, want or cherish the magic of makeup, but with lasting results, bringing constant balance and definition to your facial features.

We offer free 15 online consultations which can be followed by a day consultation if we are a good fit. We would rather you did an in-person appointment if you have any uncertainty about the type of treatment that’s best for you. Yes, you can receive a sensitivity patch test by post and email with a medical history questionnaire before your appointment. Just make sure you read all the Faqs, Pre-Treatment and Aftercare Information at the time of booking.

If you have an ideal shape or colour in mind, wear it to your appointment or bring photos/screenshots of what you like.
Make sure your skin is healthy and free from skin complaints, infection or trauma in the brow area.
Stop using hair growth stimulators at least one month before.
Have your brows tinted and shaped the way you wear them at least 4 days before your appointment.
Please have treatment 30 days post-sunbathing.
Suntanned and burnt skin does not get a good result and may tattoo deeply in the skin and therefore contraindicated.
Leave one month between any aesthetic procedures.

If you suffer from cold sores we strongly advise that you get a prescription of anti viral medication to prevent a breakout.
Bring your favorite day lip colours with you.
Moisturise your lips well leading up to your appointment and drink lots of water a few days before.
Lips will look significantly stronger/darker/brighter than the desired result so if you don’t usually wear lipstick you must consider this with your scheduling.
Stop using lip plumper 1 month before treatment.
Make sure it is at least 1 month since any lip fillers and all swelling has subsided.

Glad you asked! Yes, everything, things have improved A-LOT! Pre-numbing, sensation during treatment due to different techniques, It is nothing like it used to be during the procedure or afterwards in the healing process.

False lashes must be removed.
Bring glasses to wear home if you normally wear contacts as you will need to wait until the next morning before putting contacts back in.
Stop using Eyelash growth serum 1 month before treatment.
If you are fair, you may want to have your lashes tinted so they are dark during the healing process, giving a more balanced look.
Have any lash treatments at least 4 days before treatment.
If you have had/are planning eye surgery or laser eye surgery, speak to us.

Yes, absolutely. Your eyes will feel a little sore but your vision will not be impaired at all. Contact Lenses cannot be worn after a treatment for 24 hours. Bring your glasses with you.

You shouldn’t. Makeup will look more obvious during the healing process and you may have swollen eyes post-eyeliner for a couple of days. If you think you will feel self-conscious, bear this in mind when booking. Be mindful, when scheduling, of your plans for the days following treatment. Avoid holidays, parties, big social engagements to allow healing to be respected.

Contact lenses can be worn the following day.
If you have any swelling, this is gone within 2/3 days.
The skin will slough away excess colour around day 7.
You will be required to cleanse as directed, apply aftercare products, keep the area dry and avoid extremes of temperatures.
Read the Aftercare Notes so you are fully informed and committed to looking after your new procedure.

New Treatments: for most clients, a minimum of two appointments are needed at least 4 weeks apart, sometimes 6 weeks.
In the second session, we will assess the retention, refine & continue to layer pigment as necessary.
Don’t expect perfect results after the first session. It is better to build up and we can go darker, add density and adjust at your next appointment.

There are detailed Aftercare Instructions listed here. I achieve the most comfortable and successful healing process please read and follow them carefully. A good healed result really does rely on good aftercare.

Healed procedures generally last for many months to a few years but, as a guideline, you are invited back annually to refresh the shape and top up the colour. This will keep your makeup in the best possible condition and look how you wanted it to at the start.

Out the outset I will select the colours I anticipate will fade best in the future in your skin. I match colours with your existing brow hair colour, with lip undertones, with skin temperature & condition. The majority of clients stay true to colour and just fade gradually. However, some pigments contain iron oxide and these can fade into different tones according to the individuals biochemistry and lifestyle. When you attend your Annual Colour Boost I re-analyze how your body has responded to the initial colour. If any undesirable shades are visible I will neutralise these and alter the target colour to avoid this happening, as much as is possible, in the future.
Results vary with every client.

I would recommend you come back sooner so your makeup doesn’t over fade and lose its beauty if the details have faded it’s lost its allure. When you come back, if it’s faded a lot I will do what is needed to get your enhancement back to the condition you invested in right at the start. If you need more appointments to finalise the procedure you just pay for them as you attend them.

Please send us a crystal clear, well lit photo and I can let you know what I can do for you. I charge by appointment so you will only pay for the appointments you attend. I will never guarantee a single appointment.

Ideally single appointment is all that is necessary to make minor adjustments to colour and restore the shape.  However, if you do need a follow up there will be no charge for further work (within 8 weeks of this appointment).
After 12 months follow-ups will be charged for,  if they are necessary, and will be payable when you attend.  Note: if colour has faded excessively and we are redoing the procedure the follow up will be chargeable in all cases.  

If your skin is healthy and in good condition you can expect a good outcome.
Hair strokes give the best results in dry and normal skin. (Not dehydrated - good hydration is essential for a healthy skin).
If you suffer from poor health or take certain medications that can cause bleeding during the treatment you are likely to have a poor healed result and/or fade quickly. If you are a smoker you are more likely to fade quickly.
If you have no brow hair I can achieve an excellent 2 dimensional result. If you have natural hair you can expect more of a 3 dimensional effect.
I recommend Ombré or Shaded brow for oily skin where a beautiful healed result will be achieved and last well through time.

Yes, but for best results start by following the aftercare instructions. Once healed, you can wear as much or little conventional makeup as you want so you can change your look whenever you want.

One key to successful healing is to keep the area dry and to avoid activities that will generate body heat and sweat for a few days. Exercise addicts can safely switch to core and floor work that don’t interfere with healing. Avoid swimming, saunas, steam rooms or sun beds for at least 6 days.

Yes, combination treatments work very well together. I recommend you leave 8 weeks after your Botox, but preferably have your brows done first. If you have filler in the area to be treated, leave a month between sessions to allow skin healing. Speak to us about this when booking.

Let’s compare it to other treatments. New eyebrows work out around £33,34 per month (£400 in total) and Annual Colour Boost eyebrows at £20 per month (£245 in total). Compare these prices with regular beauty salon manicures and pedicures.
Imagine if your hair salon invoiced you annually. While the average botox treatment costs £300 – 350 and has to be re-done at full price every three to six months. We offer payment plans to spread the cost as we know many clients appreciate not having to pay it all at once.

For many people, yes. Shading and Ombre are more pronounced and can just look a bit pink. Do not pick remaining scabs off! The skin is an organ with many layers, and cannot be rushed in repairing itself. The colour begins to “surface” over the next few weeks. It takes up to 4/6 weeks to fully heal and reflect all the colour that has successfully taken.
If this happens and you do not have a successful result please get in touch so we can assess and if need be, schedule any further work necessary.

If you have requested a hair stroke technique but find you would rather a powder or micro shading effect we can add this over your procedure once ample healing time has taken place.  If there are spaces where a hair stroke should be, of course get in touch and we can offer a minor retouch anywhere along your journey.
